Lessons Learned

Daily writing prompt
Share a lesson you wish you had learned earlier in life.

A lesson I sometimes wish I had learned earlier in life, is to be a little less stubborn. I found it difficult to hear advice from elders. I felt I was different and I didn’t understand history. Looking back, I can see why they tried to share their experience. It just isn’t always easy to hear. However, I don’t believe in regrets… It is my stubbornness that has created and molded who I am today. As I am learning to love who I am and develop more of my character with authenticity, I appreciate time so much more. We all have this journey. Some were short, long, exciting, and dreary, but at the end of it all, what did you learn? Do you appreciate the breath you hold?
